As long as you follow Dr. Yoon’s guidance closely throughout your teeth whitening process, your oral health will be safe and you can get the beautiful white teeth that you’ve been wishing for.

How does the teeth whitening process work?

The take-home Venus White kits have several different formulations, and Dr. Yoon will help you choose the right one for your whitening goals.

The kit includes custom-fitted whitening trays along with a mint-flavored peroxide whitening gel. Depending on how much whitening you need, you’ll have either 16%, 22%, or 35% whitening gel. Typical use patterns for the trays include:

35% gel: 15 minutes, twice a day, or 30 minutes once a day
22% gel: 60 minutes, 1-2 times per day
16% gel: 4-6 hours daily

Alternatively, you may opt for overnight wear of either the 16% or 22% gel (the 35% gel is too strong for overnight use.) Your total wear time depends on your individual needs and goals, but Venus White is generally worn for a maximum of 14 days.

You’ll have a checkup with at Scottsdale Family Dental once your teeth whitening treatment is complete, at which time you’ll evaluate at your progress.
